1st Haircut

Maddie had her 1st haircut today! Everyone kept telling me to cut her bangs so we finally went. We wanted Daddy to be there for the special day so we had to hurry and do it before he leaves for Fort Bragg. Maddie did okay for the most part. She was really wiggly though.

Christmas Tree

So I got the house all nice and clean and then had nothing to do. Therefore, I decided to put up our Christmas tree, yes I know, It's not even Thanksgiving but I had nothing else to do. Here are a few pictures of Maddie helping me fluff the tree! I'll post the finished product later.

It's a Boy!!

So, Maddie is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! Her little brother is due April 4th! We decided to name him Orrin Leonardo! Leonardo is his Grandpa's middle name (Facio's dad). We had the ultrasound today, which happens to be Maddie's due date! The kids will be 17 months apart.

Maddie also had her 1 year check up today. She weighs 23.5lbs and is 31.25in long. She also had to get 3 shots! Poor baby!

She is ONE!!

I cannot believe Maddie is one! This year has flown by soooo fast! Our little baby girl is getting big and growing up. It makes me sad because it seems like she is going to be 18 tomorrow and we won't have our baby anymore :( Maddie is walking everywhere these days and getting into everything. She loves cords, the remote control, and cell phones. Just recently she has started dancing so that is very cute. She has many saying like momma, dada, baby, uh oh, kiki (kitty), hey, bye bye and owwwe. She waves bye bye and loves to clap. She also likes to give high fives! We are starting to wean her off the bottle and formula and change her to milk and a sippy.

Wow so much has changed in a year!

Our Lil Cupcake's Birthday!

Maddie had a blast at her birthday party! Many people came out to celebrate her special day. She got lots of fun gifts too! She was tuckered out by the end of the day.

Happy Halloween!

Today was full activities. We carved a pumpkin (well daddy did most of the work) and Maddie had fun playing with the pumpkin guts. She didn't really care too much for the texture. Instead, she kept stirring them in the pot. Here are a few pictures.

Maddie was a monkey for Halloween. She enjoyed the attention she got and she even snuck in a piece of chocolate candy. We visited a few friends and family and then went trick or treating on my parents street. Maddie didn't really want to share her candy but she got over it!

One SUPER BUSY month

So this has been a crazy month for us! We finally closed on our new home Oct 17th so we have been moving. We kind of took it slow because Facio had to work. Therefore, we got completely out of the old house today (it took 2 weeks to get all moved in)! Then we have been busy planning for Maddie's birthday party which we decided we would have at the new house. That of course meant ALOT of unpacking and cleaning! Here are a bunch of pictures from October.

Tennis

We actually did something active today! We took Maddie to the park to play a little tennis. One of Facio's friend also went so I mostly watched Maddie while they played. It felt so good to get back on the courts! I miss tennis! Maddie had a great time crawling all over the courts. She would not stay in one place for more than a few seconds. We were there a few hours so she got pretty wore out. She definitely needed a bath when we got home and then she went straight to bed. She didn't even want her last bottle for the night. She wanted to go to sleep, poor thing.

Taking the diaper off???

Maddie has learned to take her diaper off! We have to make sure we don't leave her unattended without a onesie or pants on. She took her diaper off 3 times yesterday. We found her this morning with no diaper and this diaper had poop in it!!!! Daddy doesn't want to post the incriminating pictures but lets just say Maddie got a bath this morning! Here is a picture of her from yesterday when I found her nakie in her play area! She sure is a ham!!

Sick baby girl

Poor Maddie has a cold :( She has had a slight temperature of 100.4 and hasn't been feeling too well. Most times she is happy but she gets in these moods where she just wants to be held and rocked. Her little runny nose makes it hard for her to sleep because she cant breathe with her binkie in her mouth. But she is still cuter then ever!!!

Greensboro Fair

We went to the fair today in Greensboro. Needless to say, not too exciting. It is a very small fair and not much to do. Maddie couldn't really ride any of the rides because either she was too small, or we were too big to ride with her. Basically, we went to the food. We indulged in the funnel cakes and fried oreos! Yummy!! Maddie did play the duck pond came and actually won a little duckie. She liked watching the ducks float around and after choosing 2 ducks wouldn't pick the last one. Mommy had to help her otherwise we would still be there!

We also finally took a picture of Maddie practicing her newest trick. She is trying to walk but she just cant make her self go very far. She stands perfectly and will take 3-5 steps before she sits down and then crawls! Here she is getting into things.
